Field observations too good to believe
Unconventional is definitely the word of the day. One of the techniques I observed today was the teacher's response to handling a rowdy class. The teacher allowed the students to call out answers instead of raising their hands. Most people would presume that chaos ensued, and it did for a moment. However, what transpired next was too good to be true. The students, hearing the answers that their fellow students gave, commented on the answers and told why the answers were wrong or right. This caused the students to discuss the answer without the teacher forcing them to! Truly this teacher knows how to handle an energetic bunch.
